Get to Know Kristina Through this Q&A:

What attracted you to the design concept of curriculum storyboards?
What captivated me about curriculum storyboards was their power to simplify and streamline the curriculum design process, making it approachable and user-friendly. Curriculum storyboards offer a visual framework that aligns learning goals, instructional approaches, and assessments in a way that makes the curriculum more accessible and meaningful for both teachers and students. I am particularly attracted to how storyboards facilitate a shift from merely covering content to creating a more engaging, connected learning experience.
How has it influenced your own work as a consultant?
The integration of storyboards into my work as a consultant has been transformative. I see curriculum storyboards as a powerful tool that I use to guide educators to reimagine their curriculum and classroom, focusing on student engagement and deeper understanding. This approach has not only made the curriculum more dynamic but also empowered teachers to reflect on and take ownership of their instructional design and assessment practices, leading to more innovative and effective teaching practices.
As you join our small and mighty team, what are the services you excel at?
My knowledge of curriculum design allows me to ensure that learning goals, assessments, and instruction are thoughtfully aligned. With a strong foundation in content and pedagogy, particularly in mathematics education, I am well-equipped to support the development of rigorous and meaningful learning experiences. Reflective by nature, I am committed to constantly evaluating and refining my approaches to meet the evolving needs of educators and students. I also have a passion for building strong, collaborative relationships with educators. My ability to coach and ask insightful questions helps others to refine their practice, meeting them where they are and supporting their professional growth in a way that is both supportive and sustainable.
